08:49 AM ET 02.17 | Ozzie Guillen talked to the Orioles about becoming their third base coach, but with the job going to longtime minor-league manager and coach Bobby Dickerson, the former Marlins manager remains in Chicago, working on his foundation, considering some TV work and mulling his next baseball step, which could include managing in Asia.

He better do his homework about Baltimore though. I don't think they'd be too happy that he's in love with Fidel Castro either.

Actually Asia might be a good place for him too. Looks like he loves communists, so if he would just come out and say he really respects Mao Tse Tung too he'd probably have a job for life.

Asis may be next? The dalai lama called - he needs a first base coach with a stupid facial expression.

Maybe Booby Valentine can spare him some career advise.

Notify the State Department: Just finishing one war and this guy could start another one. Not a good idea.

Considering some work at the TV network,,hey this may work,,appears to fit well in guillen free speech

Asia? Is Ozzie seriously considering the Bobby V route?

February 17, 2013  02:51 PM ET

wiseup: apparently he wore out his welcome in MLB. He should try Asia. They haven't seen his act yet. He might milk out a few more years before his mouth gets him the boot.

If you believe that Ozzie had interest in a 3rd base coaching job, i got a couple bridges for sale..........
Real cheap.

was his contract w/ the marlins not guaranteed? isn't he getting paid for the remaining years on his deal?

This guy's reputation is shattered. Asia seems to be an appropiate banishment. It would make it appear as if he was still wanted

The problem with Asia is that, while plenty of people have used it as the last stop before the graveyard of their careers, just enough have used it as a baseball purgatory and come back to MLB with rejuvenated prospects and careers. Do we really want this scenario for Ozzie? Please just let him fade into obscurity where he belongs.

I used to like Ozzie but he shot himself in the foot one too many times. I just don't see an y other team give him another shot at being a manager. Assistant may be but definitely not a manager.
