Howard plays the All-Star fool

08:10 AM ET 02.18 | Listed at 6-feet and 175 pounds, Chris Paul stood above the rest Sunday, while a hulking center came up short. Of course, there's Dwight Howard, lofting 3-pointers with his torn labrum and then making one in the game before putting finger guns in his imaginary holster, Russell Westbrook-style. [Gregg Popovich] pulled Howard immediately after that, and Howard never came back into the game -- not that he was ever really in it in the first place. Not that he has been all season. As we look ahead to the next 50 years, with players so young they can't even see [Michael Jordan's] shadow, we can???t have it all. Some guys in this game get it -- Chris Paul gets it -- and there are more than enough of them to mute the foolishness of those who don't.

Obviously YOU don't get it either. Howard thinks of nothing but HIMSELF. If I had a hurt torn labrum wouldn't you think of the team and try to rest it instead of heaving 3 pointers and continue to aggravate the injury? Never understood how L.A. thought he would ever work with Kobe. It's Kobe/Shaq all over again Part 2, except it's this time Kobe isn't getting any resistance.

Please. Howard is injured and I doubt anyone was expecting much from him this All-star game. And there was no way Pop was going to leave him out there for the minutes that Paul had, risking further injury. This article is making a big deal over nothing.
Oh, and in case youi missed it, Duncan jacked up a three as well. Same reasons.

Dwight played almost twice as many minutes as Timmy.
I thought Pop might play Kobe & Durant for 35-40 minutes.

Other than a money grab the All Star break is totally useless.

The All Star game is about entertainment. It's only in the last few minutes that they actually try to win. The writer is the one that doesn't get it.

You are wrong...
It is Kobe/Shaq all over again but with no title to show for it.
Or should we say its Kobe/Shaq all over again in their last season together?
If Howard is hurt, he should have sat...its not like anyone treated this game seriously to begin with...
