08:21 AM ET 02.18 | Just how good is Chicago's 12-0-3 record after 15 games? By defeating the Los Angeles Kings 3-2 on Sunday at the United Center, the Hawks have gained at least 1 point in 15 straight games to begin the season, leaving them one game shy of Anaheim's NHL record of 16. The Hawks can tie the record Tuesday against Vancouver at the UC. ... Ray Emery made 25 saves to run his personal record to 5-0. The 15 straight games with at least 1 point is a testament to goalies Emery and Corey Crawford. "Absolutely, goaltending is key," Hawks coach Joel Quenneville said. "Goaltending is important to everything about your team: the confidence it has, the consistency, not changing the way they approach times in games."

When you're hot, you're hot. Only concern is, they might have peaked too early and might cool off at the wrong time.

Ray's 5-0? He must think he's a big wheel.

It's possible, it's being said that Crawford is in fact concussed, which is not so great, and I wonder how long Mr. Emery can keep up this frantic pace before falling off the deep-end and coughin up a 5 goal loss, the 'Hawks offense is keeping up, and playing well, but the D, I have to wonder with Emery in the pipes, will they continue to rise to the occasion, or get shaky at the thought of Emery in goal for the forseeable future?

Speaking of D, I think we all ought to give Seabrook credit for blocking that shot yesterday in what I will call the "midsection." Damn....

I saw that too, but it looked a little lower than the midsection. That is a real bad feeling to take a puck off the cup.

LOL. Sorry 'bout that. I know that's cold (or at least cool, eh). I've got a lot of friends in Florida who are now praying for global warming. But, it's only for a few days! Spring will be here in 30 days (a little less actually). Unfortunately for the Caps it's already August!

Just reminded me. I've gotta get a hair cut now. No, I don't have much but more than Pierre!

The way the Canucks are playing a new record would seem a done deal. But the 'nucks play the Hawks hard so we'll see. I remember the Sens start out a house afire a few years back only to have trouble making the playoffs.
