Iman Shumpert's reps prefer trade

11:16 AM ET 02.18 | There is some belief that the New York Knicks could trade Iman Shumpert and his glorious high-top fade before the NBA's trade deadline, even though Knicks head coach Mike Woodson stated that Shumpert would not be going anywhere. While the Knicks have shown their support of Shumpert, it sounds like his reps prefer a trade because they are worried about how the Knicks are developing their young player. "There are major concerns (from people close to Shumpert) over how the Knicks are developing him," an anonymous source said. "They feel he's being played out of position (at small forward) and his confidence is suffering because of it. They understand the team is having success and it has to be the right deal, but they'd prefer Iman in another situation... And soon."

Let's face it no player blossoms in New York let alone playing along side Carmelo Anthony. What happens with New York rookies is that they show promise in their first year and then fall off. Wilson Chandler and Josh Harrelson are two prime examples. As for Channning Frye I remember when he was so hot Isaiah won't trade him for Garnett. Where's he now?
Yes there's still a chance Shump may morth into a decent player but the chances of that happening in New York is very very small so let's take our chances and do the trade now!
