05:33 PM ET 02.18 | The San Antonio Spurs will look to move DeJuan Blair before the trade deadline, but now it's a matter of hoping that his market value is high enough to tempt other teams. Blair, who HoopsWorld.com reports was almost dealt to the Miami Heat last season, has fallen out of Gregg Popovich's rotation. He's averaging 5.4 points and 3.9 rebounds in just over 13 minutes per game this season, and it's rumored that Boston, Miami and Portland could be destinations for the jettisoned big man. It remains to be seen if San Antonio's decision to give Blair little playing time will hurt their ability to trade the player who has averaged 8.0 points and 6.0 rebounds per game for his career.

Miami should be the front runner to get him...
James Jones & a draft pick should do the trick..Haslem is aging sooner than I thought and the spurs could use a vet shooter off the bench in Jones...
Or Ed Davis...Joel Anthony & a draft pick if Blair isn't got...
heat champ/raptors…

Spurs can afford to lose him and some role players. But it's not enough to win them the Western Conference.

only way spurs win the western conference is if they acquire Al Jefferson via trade...

Blair has great passing skills and great energy. He's had double-double games, surprising teams with decent moves in the paint. But he's never been able to use his strength/weight to his advantage, at least not as much as he needs to. And his ht of only 6'7' leaves him at a disadvantage against a number of bigs.
He makes only $1mil, so moving him is not urgent. He'll be a FA at the end of the season. It's really better to keep him, if no decent offers are made.

Your like a broken record every time you comment on khawi he's undersized only avg 12 & 6, role player. In the last week he shut down deng, helped shut down
down Kyrie Irving scored 24 and hit big shots in beating bulls, hit game winning 3 against clev. He has intangibles that people like u who just read boxscores don't see. Guards best players on other team and makes life tough for them . He's 4th option on O when big three are playing when they are not he puts up 20.He comes up what key steals and blocked shots when it counts something u can't see in boxscore. He's in his 2nd year!!Blair is a 5 min a game bench player, comparing him to Blair is just ridicoulus. Not to mention his work ethic and attitude, he's getting better every week. You seem to have an agenda w spurs always trying to put down their accomplishments. Funny coming from a fan of a team that has 1 playoff game in last what? 15 years??

So sad what has happened to Knicks since Dolan took over. This team is nothing but a bunch of mercs. Only player drafted is shumpert and hes hurt and will probably never be the same. Carmelo only player who actually has ties to NY and he spent most of career in Denver. They will never learn u can't buy title!this team will be out in 1st or 2nd rd because east is so weak other than Miami . But good luck your gonna need it!!

Seriously, it's amazing how many people haven't watched the Spurs since the mid 2000s and think they know everything.
Kawhi Leonard is a wing, by the way. There's a big difference between a 6'7" SF/SG that can play PF in a small lineup and a 6'7" PF/C that is a full-time undersized big who doesn't play perimeter on either side of the floor.

Also, I seriously doubt Al Jefferson is the secret ingredient to winning the West. I'd take Splitter over Jefferson any day of the week.
