08:16 AM ET 02.19 | Johnny Heisman might be hard to find on campus this semester. People wondered how Johnny Manziel would handle all of the attention on the Texas A&M campus after winning the Heisman Trophy in December. Apparently, there's at least a semester-long solution: He's taking all four of his courses online. Manziel said [Monday] while at the Fort Worth Club for the Davey O'Brien Award dinner that he's only on campus -- outside of the actual Bright football building -- about once a month this semester. "It just happened to work out where it was good after the football season with all of the stuff going on," Manziel said. "It was a good time to not have to worry about being on campus and some other things, too."

Sooner or later his jackassory is going to catch up with him. Oh, that's right he's still awaiting trial for the same things JJ at LSU was suspended multiple games.

Like doing the class work?

What's really missing from this article is that on-line courses are the wave of the future in American education. They trememndously cut down on the rising costs of higher (and even secondary) education.
I don't believe in these courses for one minute, but it's a losing battle.
There are already MOOCs with ten of thousands of students from across the world enrolled in a single on-line course. Welcome to education in the 21st century.

I guess he'd rather be the the big man off campus.

Not only online classes, but only 4? If I remember correctly I was taking 15 to 18 credits my first 3 years. That's at least 5 classes, some semesters 6...guess he's planning on leaving early for the NFL so it matters not anyway!!

Damn!!! I can't wait until the Aggies game on September 14, 2013 at College Station.

Well there is one good thing about online courses, "for any player", you don't have to worry about getting caught with a hand gun on campus at 3:21 AM!!! :-)

If you were in college looking to finish your degree in 4 years, would have taken a bigger load of classes each semester. Since Manziel is playing football, and has red shirted, it means he has 5 years to complete his degree. Now just in case you didn't do so well attaining your degree, that means he can take less classes per semester and use that time for little things, like practice and studying game plans.

Aggies love to brag about the difficulty of their classes, how hard it is to get accepted, etc ... I'm sure their online classes are much harder than anyone else's.
