11:59 AM ET 02.19 | The Philadelphia Flyers have inquired about the asking price of Colorado Avalanche restricted-free agent Ryan O'Reilly, according to a French-language report from Renaud Lavoie of RDS. O'Reilly and the Avalanche have failed to come to terms on a new contract, which has many believing the the 22-year-old has played his final game as a member of the Avalanche. According to the report, the two sides have not spoken for two weeks and teams have started calling about his availability. The Flyers are apparently one such team and the Avalanche told them that they wanted forward Sean Couturier if the two sides were to make a deal. It is believed that the Flyers view Couturier as an "untouchable" player.

Homer likes driving everyone nuts including contracts. If he is going public then he is doing it to screw someone else. Whatever deals the Flyers do you will only know after the fact.

There isn't a team in the league that isn't interested in acquiring a 55 point player with a bit of sand-paper...the issue is that he's asking for an incredibly over-valued contract + the Avalanche are demanding a king's ransom for him.

O'Reilly's going to nowhere for the time being.

Meh, so they'll stack another horrid contract on themselves like a millstone, and then when he underperforms everyone laughs again?... To quote Yogi Berra, "It's Deja Vu, all over again!"

If only, eh...
