04:33 PM ET 02.19 | The USC Trojans are reportedly looking to add former Fresno State coach Pat Hill to their coaching staff as they try to rebound from a 7-6 season and a recruiting class that featured several key decommits.

Hill, currently the offensive line coach for the Atlanta Falcons, was Fresno State's head man from 1997-2011, going 112-80 with nine seasons of eight wins or more.

The report from USCFootball.com's Ryan Abraham indicated that Hill would be a potential offensive line coach alongside Oregon State's Mike Cavanaugh and Brent Key of UCF, but the offensive coordinator position is still open, and Lane Kiffin's staff already has an offensive line coach in James Cregg.

Adding Pat Hill to the staff would be a great move. When he was at Fresno State, he ran a very innovative offense and definitely over-achieved given the level of talent he was able to draw.

I was wondering what happened to Pat Hill. If he goes to USC-good luck-unless they have a good season Lame and staff will be gone.

One way Lane Kiffin can extend his tenure is to surround himself with talented coaches. Of course, he can't "Dooley" them, or they'll bolt after one year.

Exactly TM. Would Lane be willing to give up the offensive responsibilities, especialy during "crunch time" of close games...?

Layla's trophy husband destined to "Fulmer?" Trog fans, what are the odds that Kiffin becomes an administrative HC, builds his rep on the work of key staff members, loses his edge, and is revealed by the loss of a coordinator and future bad hires?

Al davis started this whole Lane Kiffin as a head coach charade joke.

At least he came to his senses and fired him.

What's the point of bringing in Pat Hill for Offense when Lane Kiffin runs the offense?

And why is everyone so down on Kiffin? He had a BCS bowl season while SC was bowl banned (10-2) and people want to nit-pick the 7-6 season that they took a knee on in mid-october? They're going into year #4 (out of 5) of the sanctions, and they performed above the level you jabronies said they would be performing back when the sanctions came down, so what's the drive to make a change for the better? I do believe they have been changed for the better. Because we knew Kiffin. Because we knew Kiffin. We have been changed...... for good.

Sometimes I just have to type-out in showtunes, when the mood strikes me.
