04:34 PM ET 02.19 | The Chicago Blackhawks will be chasing history on Tuesday night when they challenge the Vancouver Canucks. Having recorded points in their first 15 games of the season, the Blackhawks will tie the 2006-07 Anaheim Ducks for the most consecutive games to start a season without a regulation loss at 16. All Chicago has to do is either record a regulation win or force overtime and they will match the record. Jumping out to a 12-0-3 start, the team is largely considered as the most dominant team in the NHL at this time. Boasting an impressive lineup, the club has managed to leave an impression around the league. On Tuesday night, they will have a shot at history.

And if they lose in the first round of the play-offs it will just be the answer to a trivia question. No disrespect intended because they are playing really, really well. I'm sure Quenville hopes they'll be playing this hot in the late spring too.

That's what I'm afraid off. They peaked too early. And now, they can't resist burning themselves out chasing meaningless records.

Hopefully, that is not the case....the game tonight will be an excellent one, better than most.

I remember the Wings chasing the home wins in a row record, after that they seemed pretty flat.

Detroit last year. Ask anybody there if they were thinking about that home winning streak when they were getting knocked out in the first round.

Say what you want, it seemed to work out pretty well for the Ducks as they won the Cup that year.
And I'm sure the Hawks would love to do the same...

I think it would be great. They, and the Ducks this year have surprised me. Where did Fasth come from at 30?

They're that good..and they'll do it in the play-offs too.
