Cincinnati sends Christmas cards to ACC presidents

04:57 PM ET 02.19 | Cincinnati wants the ACC to know about their upcoming stadium renovations, sending presidents of ACC schools videos detailing the $70 million project - as well as Christmas cards about the upgrades.
The Bearcats were left behind in the Big East, a conference which was decimated in the recent wave of conference expansions. Now, it's just Cincinnati, UConn, and some newcomers like Tulane and East Carolina - far from a power conference. It's no surprise Cincinnati wants out - hence the Christmas cards.
The $70 million expansion to Nippert Stadium will add box seats, loges, and private suites to the stadium. A new Big East TV contract reeled in just $30 million for the whole conference, while ACC schools will easily make over $10 million per school on TV rights.

Bob Huggin's B-Ball teams were highly competitive. The area is very talent laden for football. I am sure Florida State and Miami [the u.] would like the chance to do a showcase game in Cincinnati and maybe pick a plum away from Urban Meyer. Of course 1st & foremost the University must be an "ACADEMIC FIT!!!"

Cincy is smart to keep the lines of communication with the ACC open. Delaney's next move on the Monopoly Board may create some more openings.
