06:42 PM ET 02.19 | An enlarged heart discovered before the season has put Channing Frye on the sidelines this entire NBA season. He told The Oregonian that he's still treating the problem but has grown both comfortable and edgy about where he is in life. Right now, the Phoenix Suns big man still isn't able to exercise, and he's 16 pounds heavier than his playing weight. Working toward earning his degree from the University of Arizona, Frye has also spent time watching basketball, golfing and being a father. He said that he's 95 percent sure he'll return to the Suns next season, but he's still climbing a difficult set of steps. "You come to a reality about yourself," Frye said. "It's humbling, but it's awesome. For me, I've learned that I can deal with this. For a month or two I went crazy. But I learned that I'm OK with me. I learned that I love basketball, but I love my family more."

Playing basketball for a living is a blessing. But staying healthy for your family to enjoy your presence means more to everyone.
