06:45 PM ET 02.19 | Despite missing the All-Star game, Houston Rockets guard Jeremy Lin was third among Western Conference guards in the All-Star fan voting. He garnered 883,809 votes, or about 400,000 more than teammate James Harden, who was voted into the game by NBA coaches. Behind only Chris Paul and Kobe Bryant in voting, Lin wasn't feeling sorry for himself when he was passed over. A well-backed name because of his Taiwanese roots and Houston's following in Asia in the wake of Yao Ming's time with the Rockets, Lin knows that he wasn't all that deserving. "I'm kind of thankful I didn't get voted because when ??? I want to make sure I'm fully, fully deserving of it, when I play," Lin told CSNHouston.com. "And I didn't feel like that was the case this year."

Thank the basketball gods that Linsanity didn't overwhelm the voting.
