Most likely to be tagged by Giants

07:57 AM ET 02.20 | Though the Giants have until March 4 to use their franchise tag, there's a good chance that date passes without them applying it. Consider that in the 20 years since the franchise tag has existed, the Giants have used it only three times. No wonder co-owner John Mara said Tuesday what everyone already knew when he told the NFL Network the Giants "probably" won't use the franchise tag on any player this year. Still, there are a few players who might warrant the tag. At the top of the list is Will Beatty, the soon-to-be 28-year-old left tackle coming off his first full season as a starter. For the first time, Beatty played in all 16 games, starting 15. The timing of this ascension was ideal for Beatty, a 2009 second-round pick out of UConn.

Not so sure about this one. Their number one priority is to try to keep Eli upright. LTs are hard to find. Corey Webster is due $7 million and has received all of his guaranteed money. I cut his a## yesterday and throw it at Beatty before the deadline.

Who knows... Sprinkle a little O.J. in there, and it might work.

They need to push back the cut off day for franchising to March 12. The day free agency starts.

This draft has enough trenchbattlers in it. Those Jersey teams could afford it one way or another.
