08:05 AM ET 02.20 | No matter what the long-term future holds, Dwight Howard is very likely staying in Los Angeles through any playoff push. With 29 regular-season games remaining and the playoffs still in sight, Kobe Bryant is more determined than ever to prove he and the Lakers can become the force they thought they were. Whether center Dwight Howard is a part of that attempted revival doesn't matter to Bryant, sources familiar with Bryant's thinking told FOX Sports Ohio. Lakers general manager Mitch Kupchak has strongly nixed the notion that Howard could be moved prior to Thursday's trading deadline. But if Kupchak changes his mind, he'd have Bryant's full support, according to sources.FOX Sports Ohio

Lakers and Tom Brady have something in common. They are both caught in a bad romance. Brady hasn't won a ring since he started romancing the brazillian beau; Lakers have been underachieving since D'Antoni got on board. So it's logical Brady ends it with her and Lakers part ways with Mike...But the attachment is so tremendous both of them are fixing the wrong things.

With the Lakers they need to let Mike go; let Kobe's contract run out and establish Howard as the future of the franchise.

With Brady he doesn't have to train harder or get a better special unit or what have you. It's simple - let Gisele walk!

It's the simple Lakers and Tom....hittup Lady Gaga for some advice!

This one will do numbers lol. There are no big name free agents coming by next year. You let Howard walk and the best you can hope for is Al Jefferson. You will not be able to offer him the type of money. LA has almost no trade leverage assets. Laker fans better hope he stays if you will be lucky to make the playoffs in the next 3 years. Remember the Smush Parker, Kwame era, well with an older Bryant, old Nash and past prime Gasol Lakers would be maybe a step above that.
