07:56 AM ET 02.20 | Even if the next few days have little to do with a prospect's ultimate success in the NFL, raw data can be spun into dozens of compelling storylines at the NFL Scouting Combine. The 2013 draft class features plenty of payers capable of "wowing" evaluators with their testing numbers. ... 1) Texas WR Marquise Goodwin. Goodwin is my leading candidate to create the most buzz with his combine performance. He won the long-jump title at the 2012 U.S. Olympic Trials (with a jump of 27 feet, 4.25 inches) before finishing 10th in the London Olympics. He is obviously going to jump extremely well in Indianapolis, and I won't be shocked if he sneaks under 4.30 seconds in the 40-yard dash.

We see he has the attitude to go along with it, too.

Wake me up when Track & Field becomes part of the NFL.

On second thought, let me sleep through it.

Workout wonders don't always work out well in the NFL.

Can he catch a pass while running as he Jumps!

Joe Montana would have been laughed out of one of these combine. Ya can play this game or ya can't. And there a whole lot of these guys that end up looking like 'Tarzan and playing like Jane'..

Mitch Petrus is fourth on the all time bench press record at the combine. The Giants cut him this year after two years and replaced him with a washed out veteran.

And the hype machine continues. 9 times out of 10, too much hype = draft day bust. War rooms are littered with players that "couldn't miss" but did.

Maybe they'll measure precious bodily fluids at the combine. That info would be just about as useless as all the rest they're collecting.

Ewwwwww!

This is a lot of talk from people who have no idea who this kid is. In the past 2 seasons, Goodwin averaged over 10 yards a carry, and this season 13 yards per catch. It's not his fault Texas' offense sucks and the coaches have no clue how to utilize him. I'm sure an NFL offense could figure that out.

When speed doesn't matter in the NFL, give me a call.

He can jump, he can run, but can he catch the ball?

Maybe they'll collect and test precious bodily fluids, and some that aren't so precious, at the combine.

Even when they know it's coming, some guys just can't stay clean for a couple of weeks. And that is something a GM needs to know, much more than "how high can he jump?"
