01:42 PM ET 02.20 | New England Patriots cornerback Alfonzo Dennard was found guilty of assaulting an officer and resisting arrest on Wednesday, according to CSN New England's Tom E. Curran. Dennard, 23, faces up to six years in prison, according to Lori Pilger of the Lincoln Journal Star. His sentencing will be on April 11. The trial started on Feb. 11. Dennard was found guilty of punching a police officer -- a felony offense -- outside of a bar last April. The rookie cornerback out of Nebraska denied punching the officer, but admitted to resisting arrest.

Assaulting a police officer...no big deal...it's not like he carried a loaded gun into the airport. The hits just keep coming for NFL players!

The NFL will probably suspend him, and he may or may not be reinstated after his Jail Time! If I were him I'd start working at the Local PAL to build some credibility!!!
