01:52 PM ET 02.20 | Pittsburgh Steelers safety Troy Polamalu was limited to seven games last season and even though he will turn 32 in April, at least one person expects him to continue to play at a high level for the foreseeable future. Pittsburgh, defensive coordinator Dick LeBeau said he thinks Polamalu can continue to play at a high level for several more seasons. "He has a lot of tremendous football talent still in him," LeBeau said, according to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. "Once he got back on the field, I couldn't see any difference in his play than when he was winning the Defensive Player of the Year award."

I think if he plays on a limited basis, he might be able to sustain a high level of play at least the type of play that we are accustomed to seeing him play! But father time catches up with everybody and that's something that can't be coached!!!

To the Trib-Review several more seasons = foreseeable future??? Several more seasons means 2 or 3 to me and Troy would be 35 after 3 more seasons. That's a pretty short foreseeable future!!!
Everyone needs to keep in mind Troy is only under contract for 2 more years so he could still be gone after 2 years.

even slowed down the Tasmanian Devil has more moves left than most Safeties start out with. Plenty of gas in that tank. My guess he will play one or 2 more years then retire while he is healthy.

He's fat, he's getting old and he is always hurt = finished.
This guy has been the most overrated defensive player in football for years.

I dunno about "most overrated" but he does seem to have slowed down a little bit, even when he's ostensibly healthy.
I'd always assumed he was training wrong when he did the private workouts, and when I heard he was actually gonna show up for the voluntary workouts with the team this season I had high hopes that he'd be on the field a lot. Guess I was way off on that one.

Still, asking Dick LeBeau about Troy's status, you're gonna get a biased answer. LeBeau's entire defense was basically built around this guy.

That might be True, but he has made some big plays at critical times for The Steelers, it's when you make the play, That Counts!!!

Spot on...he has lived on his reputation for years. The Pig Squealers are old on defense and they need to accept the fact it is time to move forward with younger, faster players.
