02:54 PM ET 02.21 | The Washington Wizards traded guard Jordan Crawford to the Boston Celtics for the expiring contract of Leandro Barbosa, league sources told Yahoo! Sports. With the emergence of first-round pick Bradley Beal as Washington's starting shooting guard, Crawford's role diminished and his desire was to be moved elsewhere. In parts of three seasons with the Wizards, Crawford averaged 14.5 points. This season, Crawford was averaging 13.2 points and 3.7 assists. Crawford was the 27th overall pick in the 2010 NBA draft, and was traded from the Nets to the Atlanta Hawks for his rookie season.

Collective Bargaining Agreement means the ability (and desire) to take on big salaries is.....diminished.

I thought Boston needed a big man and now Collins gets traded away?!

If it wasn't for all the injuries the Celtics would have been collecting guards.

Rondo-Bradley
Terry-Lee
+ Barbosa + Crawford

I hoped for Millsap or something, too bad.

This is the best thing Washington could have got for Crawford??? An injured Barbosa and his expiring contract. This is who Portland should have traded for with their bad bench lol

That's because no team wants an overpaid prima donna.

This is a dumb trade.

Makes no sense. Can't compare the two players. One was here for a couple of months and signed as an FA. One was drafted by the C's with a lottery pick and was expected to be a pillar.

Bigs/lack of size have always been a problem for Boston. So what do they do, they get a.... guard. In the process of doing so, they get rid of a big in Collins. I admit Collin's isn't a star but for goodness sake... either get a big, or keep your bigs.

Crawford is one of those guys that keeps both teams in the game at the same time.
