03:17 PM ET 02.21 | The Indianapolis Colts recently confirmed that they'd be parting ways with All-Pro defensive end/outside linebacker Dwight Freeney. It was a move that many expected, but Freeney himself was a little surprised when it happened. According to the Indianapolis Star, Freeney said that he expected the Colts would offer him a contract that he could play on for a few years until he retires. In other words, Freeney wanted to retire with the team that he's spent his entire 11-year career with.

This is why they need my rule!

Under the Guido plan if a player has been in the league for 10 Years and is on ??the he is currently playing for. That Team would have two spots on the roster for Veteran Exemptions, meaning that in the case of a guy like Harrison of the Steelers 50% of his annual contract would go against the cap, this would give a team like the Steelers 2 spots designated the veteran players they would want to keep on the roster, it will also allow a team to reward it's star performers, the catch is the veteran would have to be on the team in year nine so a guy like Peyton would have been full tilt with Denver but Harrison and let's say Palamalu would be at 50% of the Cap!! The Team can ??would make up the money on team Jersey sales alone!!! That's why I'm The Gweeed!!! This would be a no Brainer for The Colts also on Freeney!!!

It is the same old song and dance number 93 and you know the title. It is not what you have done for us, but we feel you cannot do it anymore, see you.

He'll be a good get for someone. Gotta have a good two or three years left anyway.

Hit the road Freeney and stop crying like some wimp. grow a pair and move on like a man.

I love it when people talk tough from the safety of the rock they live under.

We could use him in Tampa, De'Quan Bowers won't be there this season...
Him and Clayborn would be Havoc on the end's!
