03:47 PM ET 02.21 | After months of fielding rumors, the Orlando Magic will trade J.J. Redick . The starting shooting guard has been dealt to the Milwaukee Bucks, according to Yahoo! Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski. It's unclear what the Magic will receive back, but there is a possibility of a three-team deal that was first raised by Joshua Robbins of the Orlando Sentinel. Redick is having a career year in 2012-13, averaging almost five minutes, four points and two assists per game than he did last season (which was, in each of those categories, his best season to date). He's an unrestricted free agent after 2013, though, and he'll be a hot commodity on the free-agent market. He turns 29 in June and seems to be nearing his prime athletically, and his style of play would suggest several years near that peak level.

I think they both got just what they wanted. The Bucks wanted a sixth man to score off the bench. The Magic are just collecting a bunch of young talent "cheap" hoping one of them turns into something worth keeping long term.

So by your logic.....the Bucks should have done nothing.....since they really had no assets that could have brought them a player to take them over the top.

What you're basically saying is that teams that are only fighting to get into the play-offs, shouldn't try to improve. And THAT is ridiculous!
