03:51 PM ET 02.21 | The Atlanta Hawks will not be trading forward Josh Smith, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports. The Hawks were reportedly engaged with Bucks in the final hour before the deadline, but those talks broke down and Milwaukee reportedly went ahead on a deal with Magic for J.J. Redick. Smith was the target of several teams around the league as Thursday's deadline approached, and Milwaukee emerged as the likely favorites in the final hour before the deadline. Both Monta Ellis and Ekpe Udoh were reported as potential pieces in a deal with Milwaukee. Wojnarowski reported earlier on Thursday that Danny Ferry and the Hawks preferred to send Smith to the Western Conference, and the Phoenix Suns were thought to be one of the top trade partners in that conference.

Man... I'm so mad we traded Brewer.... did he sleep with Melo's wife or something? Even when his shots weren't falling he played great defense, the offense flowed well and my Knicks won a lot of games... just when I thought we had a special season they had to screw it up. Forget it... we aint going nowhere this season... second round at best... THE SEASON IS A LOST CAUSE. Barkley's right.. nothing will go right in New York.

MIAMI ALL DA WAY!!! I'm not a traitor. I just don't roll with stupid coaching decisions and front office dumbness!!!!!!!!!!!

Lostwill gone postal lol. I have no idea what Knicks are doing but this sounds almost like get what we can for Brewer because we do not plan on using him at all. Yall are slim in the backcourt and SF position.

Now that Smith hasn't been traded, his options are a few. I think he will end up Dallas they have money from when Cuban decided not to keep the team together. They may be able to lure a few other players

He would have been in the playoffs if he went to the Bucks. I bet he's unhappy.
