07:16 PM ET 02.21 | The New York Knicks did not make a trade to improve their team for the stretch run at the deadline, but they were able to add a piece nonetheless. After months of rumors linking free agent forward Kenyon Martin to the Knicks, Yahoo! Sports' Marcus J. Spears has reported that the team has signed the former No. 1 overall pick to a 10-day contract. Martin fills a void as a backup big man since both Rasheed Wallace and Marcus Camby have been out of the lineup with injuries. K-Mart last played for the Los Angeles Clippers last season, but has expressed his desire to sign with the Knicks as he has a close relationship with both Carmelo Anthony and J.R. Smith from their days with the Denver Nuggets. He isn't exactly the backup center the Knicks could use, but Martin's big body could help what is currently a very thin frontline

No.....a moderately scoring, non-rebounding power forward cannot help the Knicks win a title.

Any former Nuggets not on the Knicks? I watched this team make it to the WCF just a few years back.

For someone that hasn't played for a very long time you can't tell where he's at phyically and mentally. He's got 10 days to get it together else he'll be out like the vapors...
