Timberwolves don't expect Brandon Roy to return

07:20 PM ET 02.21 | Minnesota Timberwolves head coach Rick Adelman admitted that he doesn't expect Brandon Roy to play another game this season anytime soon. According to the Ray Richardson of the Pioneer Press, Adelman doesn't even know Roy's current status. You know, this whole saga is just really sad for Brandon Roy. I was cheering for him to finally make a comeback. Finally prove everyone that he can play and fight through his bad knee. I wanted the three-time all-star to prove all the doubters wrong, but unfortunately, I guess his knees won't let him. The Wolves' organization and Roy's group talked about the possibility of a contract buyout earlier this month. With the trade deadline officially gone and without the Wolves needing Roy to balance out a budget or trade, you can expect Roy to retire yet again.
