12:50 PM ET 02.22 | Muhammad Lawal was one of the favorites heading into the Bellator light heavyweight tournament, but his run ended in surprising fashion. Emanuel Newton knocked out the former Strikeforce star with a spinning backfist in the first round. In other Bellator 90 action, Shahbulat Shamhalaev earned the featherweight title shot with a knockout win over Rad Martinez.
