03:00 PM ET 02.22 | Florida state Senator Joseph Abruzzo asked the state's Attorney General Pam Bondi to look into the NCAA's handling of its investigation of the University of Miami's athletic department. Abruzzo had harsh words for the NCAA Thursday, saying the organization "violated its own rules and engaged in corrupt behavior in an attempt to manufacture misdeeds against the University of Miami." The NCAA has come under heavy scrutiny for its investigation of the Hurricanes, and many have called for president Mark Emmert to resign.

A strong out-of-state schedule will make them tougher when litigation season arrives.
