04:27 PM ET 02.22 | Former Detroit Lions second round pick Titus Young is at a crossroads of his football career after being released by the St. Louis Rams this month and clearing waivers. But the man who drafted him, general manager Martin Mayhew, is reaching out to help the troubled wide receiver. "I want to help him deal with his problems, whatever they are," Mayhew said at the NFL Combine on Friday.

Mayhew has a degree in psychiatry? That's the kind of help Young needs.

Lined up in the wrong formation on purpose to screw his own team, got cut for being a headcase by the Rams less than a week after being picked up, etc. (the list goes on). He was a headcase in college too from what I've read so he did already have a track record.

Exactly...'til he hits bottom, and reaches out ( If he reaches out ) there's no helping this guy. Not going to be a lot of sympathy for him, with his track record.

Uummmm. Weren't you the guy that drafted him? If you mattered to him and wanted to help, why didn't you do something while Titus was still on the team?
