05:44 PM ET 02.22 | There is a growing belief that Kansas City Chiefs left tackle Branden Albert will hit the open market while the team focuses on re-signing Dwayne Bowe before ultimately placing the franchise tag on their star wide receiver, so who could be a potential suitor for the former No. 15 overall pick out of Virginia? One of the teams that could be looking for tackle help in free agency is the Chicago Bears, who could greatly benefit from adding a player like Albert. Chicago has been linked to a number of offensive tackles in the 2013 NFL Draft class, but if they could get their hands on Albert, it would fill a need while allowing the team to look in another direction during April's draft.

I realize the Chiefs could easily replace their left tackle by using their #1 pick on Luke Joeckel.

But I wouldn't be so quick to assume that the Chiefs will let Branden Albert walk without a fight. This is a kid that Andy Reid highly coveted going into the 2008 Draft. Reid was known to throw big money at offensive tackles while in Philadelphia (Jon Runyan, Jason Peters) and he is known to shuffle OL positions.

Not to mention the Chiefs offensive line was terrible last year. They'll need all the help they can get.

Yup - if Reid decides this kid is the real deal, he isn't letting him go.

Bears need to rebuild the O-line through free agency. There have been too many wasted draft picks on the OL.
