08:13 AM ET 02.23 | Dr. James Andrews told NFL Network's Ian Rapport that Robert Griffin III???s rehab after reconstructive surgery on his knee is "way ahead of schedule." In fact, the biggest challenge has been keeping the QB from overdoing it. "We don't have to do much except try to hold him back," said Andrews. "Our whole mode is to do what's best for him for his career, not necessarily what's best for the first game next season."

But is he an injury magnet? We'll see.

Shanahan will ignore doctor's advice and keep him in too long during practice and re-injure him.

Is Dr. James Andrews the same idiot, that was on the sidelines of the Seahawk playoff game and should have examined RG3's knee in the first quarter of the game and advice Shanahan to pull him before he got seriously hurt???

Agree with that, RG barely limped to the sideline a few plays before, did they sacrifice his career to get in the playoffs?

Yeah RG3 was limping like an old man!! Anyone in their right mind, could see that he was seriously hurt. IMO, it's all on "Dr. James Andrews"!!!!

That was not a smart move playing him in the Playoffs, hopefully they learned something from it, this guy is a blue chipper!!!!!

My bet is RGIII doesn't make it to game 6 and if he does Ndamukong Suh will make sure he's done.

I don't know if he was on the Washington sideline, but Andrews is hardly an idiot. The man is considered one of, if not the best orthopedic surgeons in the world, especially when it comes to knees and elbows.

RR, Dr. James Andrews was on the sidelines of the Seahawk and Skins game, as he is part of the Redskin's team of doctors and is on the sidelines during all of their games!!! He check out RG3 and decided that he was okay to play, even after RG3 was hobbling around on one leg!!! IMO, it is Dr. James Andrews responsibility as a doctor, to tell Shanahan if RG3 is capable of playing, or pull him from the game before he got seriously hurt, but again, it's just my opinion!!! :-)

The way they are using him, he's going to break Skin's fans for the next few years by playing great, but always getting hurt. Then he will be done.

Good point, but IMO RG3 won't last long being a running QB, unless he learns to be smart and know when to get out of bounds or when to slide!!! He body (skinny legs) is not build to take a lot of hits!!!

this is the same Doctor on the sidelines that couldn't see Griffin was in trouble before he totally blew out his knee ! I don't know if I would totally trust his judgement....
