Terps gain WR commitment

The Maryland football team continued its strong week in local recruiting yesterday as two-time All-Met wide receiver Kenny Tate of DeMatha announced he will accept a scholarship offer to play for the Terrapins. Tate, considered by many to be the Washington area's top player this past season, chose Maryland after narrowing his choices to the Terrapins and Illinois.

He's a good recruit. He plays basketball too so I guess Gary Williams got himself a player, too.

great pick up but i saw this kid play against cincinnati st xavier and he didnt look too nice that day....great hands but not very fast.

bout time friegden is getting them local recruits, instead of them slipping away.
