01:01 PM ET 02.23 | Nick Foles has been the center of trade discussions between the Philadelphia Eagles and a team with a big need at quarterback, the Kansas City Chiefs, according to USA Today. The Eagles re-signed Michael Vick this offseason, and that has apparently been taken as a signal to the league that Foles is worth talking about with general manager Howie Roseman. USA Today's Mike Garafolo reported that no progress was made toward a deal, and Chiefs coach Andy Reid denied that his team was going to trade for the second-year signal caller from Arizona. Garafolo wrote that Foles is likely not on the market, regardless of the discussion.

Totally pointless. Anyone who isn't dead from the neck up knows Vick will get hurt and, given his age, isn't the long term answer for a new regime. Foles showed some promise and can still benefit from a second year of learning. When Vick goes down with an injury, there is a definite chance that Foles takes the job over for keeps.

If I were the Eagles I wouldn't make any trade with the Chiefs that didn't involve swapping 1st round picks plus extra picks.

If that's too much to ask for, then that's fine. There's no reason why the Eagles should consider trading Foles IMO.

There's no reason why the Eagles should consider trading him.

If you want to trade for a player that shouldn't be on the trade block, you should have to overpay.
