03:35 PM ET 02.23 | Nets reserve guard MarShon Brooks was reportedly shopped before the trade deadline as the team looked to make a big splash. Nothing came to fruition, so Brooks remains in Brooklyn as one of the only two players on the roster to have been originally drafted by the Nets. It has been a trying year for Brooks, who's averaging just 11 minutes in 47 games this season after earning Second Team All-Rookie honors last year. Despite the disappointment, Brooks still believes that he could make a big impact in the league if given more playing time. "I still believe in myself," Brooks said. "I still believe if I got the minutes I could score 20 points per game." Even with Joe Johnson out of the lineup in Friday night's loss to the Rockets, Brooks only saw 11 minutes of action, so it seems unlikely that he will get a big chance anytime in the near future.
