08:11 AM ET 02.24 | One respected 2012 Marlins player with no ax to grind said the one improvement the team made (besides dumping Heath Bell) was replacing Ozzie Guillen with Mike Redmond because "Ozzie just didn't care. All he cared about was his money. And he wasn't good in game situations, either."

It is easy to criticize the manager for not winning. But Ozzie did not bat, make errors in the field, and give up the lead in the ninth inning.

As opposed to every player who becomes a free agent and takes the best deal? Ozzie is a jerk, no doubt, but he didn't bat and he didn't pitch, so players should keep very quiet when things go bad on the field.

Scarface and The Departed were on t.v. at the same time yesterday. By flipping really fast between the two stations, I was able to get a glimpse of what it would be like if Ozzie managed the Red Sox. There'd be nobody left alive.

This is what happens when you yell at Bryce Harper.

somebody has to look as the bad guy,,its tough because managers do not hit/bat/swing/pitch/field/run/steal bases/score runs/and they do not close games at the ninth inning/.......and yes they are the first one's to be fired!!!!

February 24, 2013  11:41 AM ET

with guillen,,his mouth was the one who fired him,,in other words guillen owns mouth cost him the job!!!
