Can Andrea Bargnani stop the booing?

09:59 AM ET 02.24 | Somehow, some way, Andrea Bargnani has to make the booing stop. It is now up to him. It is his personal entanglement with the Toronto Raptors. The team is playing well and he can do one of two things: He can wilt, as he had done lately, contribute next to nothing and provide fans with reason to further boo his every move. Or he can engage himself in the game, the way he did last year for coach Dwane Casey, the way he managed for the 20 or so games and looked to be turning the corner. It can't be any fun, stepping on the court and being singled out the way he's been singled out. But he has brought a lot of this on with his own indifferent play, with his lack of compete, with the body language he brings to the floor at the Air Canada Centre.

play harder?

Don't see that happening.
Sometimes it has to come from inside you; the desire.

Good point!

As for the booing, the fans have been supportive for countless years.
This booing is a long time coming, and he needs to realize that the animosity from fans is for a reason.

Me too...although my little monster is too young right now to appreciate it.

Well.....it ain't like the guy hasn't produced at all.
-
A four year period the guy averaged 15, 17, 20 & 19 points per game. This season is a down year for him.....but he is what he is.....a soft PF who can't rebound and won't play defense. This is something that ain't gonna change.....and I don't understand why Toranto fans have waited until NOW to get on him. Guess they just needed a new 20 PPG scorer (Rudy Gay) to come in before they turned on they old 20 PPG scorer.
-
That being said, the Raptors suffer from three issues; none of which are Bargnani's fault:
-
1. No 'prime' free agents want to play there.
2. They've surrounded him witha group of mediocre players.
3. They have a crappy front office.

Until they can find a way to fix those issues......they'll always be the losers that they are.
