Zach Parise: Wild is still a playoff team

10:19 AM ET 02.24 | Since signing his celebrated $98 million contract with the home-state Wild, Zach Parise has played in 16 games. He says the experience has been what he hoped it would be. "Everything and more than I was expecting," the 28-year-old left wing said. "Now, it would be nice if we could go on a run and throw together some wins." The Wild are a playoff team, Parise said, in this abbreviated 48-game season. "It's so tight -- the other day I was looking at the stats, and it was something like, from 13th (spot) to eighth or seventh, it was a one- or two-point difference," he said. "So you win two, three, four in a row, all of a sudden you find yourself up there. "On the flip side, you go on a little slide, then you push yourself down. For us, we've got to find some consistency in our game and get up there."
