09:52 PM ET 02.24 | If free agents are looking for a big payday this offseason, they should look to Cleveland. The Browns have a ton of cap space and plenty of holes to fill so everyone expects them to go on a spending spree. "Cleveland's going to try to spend some money early," Peter King told NFL.com, indicating that they are not just going to spend, but be aggressive in picking off the top players available.

No disrespect to CLE, I had family there for a bunch of years. I used to hang, and get quite drunk in the flats on many occasions. Unfortunately it has deteriorated a bunch since then and I'm told the flats are dying as a place to be. Too bad.

I love Cleveland. And a lot of athletes who come here end up living here after they retire.

I would take a veteran wide out, a Paul Kruger type edge rusher and maybe a CB.

This quote is very outdated. While the Flats as you know it is long gone, there is much development in that area currently. A new business/entertainment/living district is under construction as we speak. The Warehouse District and E 4th District are the popular spots today.

Yeah the flats are gone but there are many new (nicer) places to tie one on! West 6th, Treemont, ect...

I doubt that Banner is going to make it rain for free agents. They do have a lot of space but they also have a lot of needs. Maybe one decent size contract on either side of the ball?
I would be in favor of getting someone like Spencer on D then a mid priced FA corner. I know this is going to sound crazy but a guy like Adam (drop the pacman) Jones would be worth a look. He fits a couple needs, he's a decent cover corner and he can also return punts, as all Browns fans are now aware of!
On offense, they really need to bring in a WR that can lead this young group of guys but thats going to be hard to find and costly. In any case, another wideout would be helpful and a blocking FB would be HUGE! T-Rich is going to be the team leader this year and getting him involved early and often will help the passing game.
Mix in a couple other position players for depth and we've got ourselves a decent team.
