09:30 AM ET 02.25 | The Oklahoma City Thunder are preparing to re-sign veteran guard Derek Fisher, according to sources familiar with the team's thinking. Sources told ESPN.com that the Thunder, after trading Eric Maynor away last week before the NBA's trade deadline, have made plans to sign Fisher, who joined Oklahoma City for the stretch run in March 2012 after the Los Angeles Lakers dealt Fisher to Houston. The veteran guard will sign with the team Monday for the remainder of the season, according to multiple league sources. The Thunder declined comment late Sunday.

Fisher, the man, the myth the legend... He is the gift that keeps on giving lol, how much he has left though? Seriously though he did provide OKC something in the playoffs last year and they can't fully trust Jackson yet.

Funny how he ditched Dallas because he was homesick.
Dude just wanted to play for OKC or go back to the Lakers.
He wants 6 rings, like Mike.

Anything to stay the president of the players unions right Derek? That's why he signed with Dallas. If he hadn't, then the players would have had to find a new president of the union.
And if the players decided to put Derek in Billy Hunter's old job. Then the players are dumber then I thought. The owners will eat him alive when it's time to make a deal.
Billy Hunter is gone. It's time for Derek Fisher to also go and let someone new to run the union. Go home Derek, you're done.

D. Fish is just a shady character to me now...after the situation with going from team to team and leaving under strange terms, just to be to yet ANOTHER team....
He doesn't need the money, so, I am not sure what his motivation is. Retire and take care of your family man. You for the glory and rings and money....
This may be fallout from his shady Presidency with the Player's Union though...getting lawsuit money together!
