12:48 PM ET 02.25 | Pittsburgh Penguins superstar forward Evgeni Malkin has been diagnosed with a concussion and is suffering from short-term memory loss after a nasty collision with boards on Friday night. Malkin was injured after taking a shove from defenseman Erik Gudbranson of the Florida Panthers, with his head whiplashing violently when colliding with the boards behind the net. Malkin has been ruled out indefinitely with no time line for his return.

When he wakes up, just tell him he is Evgeni Malkin. It should work out fine.

Its Crosby's turn to put the team on his back.

If last night was any indication...it shouldn't be a problem.

Just hoping he doesn't get hurt again too.

I was surprised at how hard his head snapped back. Didn't think he was moving that fast.

Screw that let's have some fun with this. Tell him he's Stalin, the year is 1942, and the Consol Energy House of Worship is the Reichstag. Let's see some REAL action!

Or that Stalin likes boys, and it's his turn.

I know what you mean. Seems like his butt hit first and that crated a whipping action with his head. I've read where the actual hit to the head doesn't usually cause the concussion, rather its the movement of the head.
