03:51 PM ET 02.25 | Linebacker Manti Te'o, who is trying to rebuild his image after a fake girlfriend hoax, won't fall out of the first round at April's NFL Draft, according to NFL writer Peter King. If Te'o hasn't been selected by the time the Cincinnati Bengals are on the clock at No. 21, King believes the team will scoop up the Notre Dame product. Te'o made a solid first impression with interviewers at the NFL Combine, but a slower-than-expected 4.81 40-yard dash has left some wondering just how far down the board he may fall.

Yes he will. He's over-rated and a head case.

Agreed. An over-rated head case makes for a second round pick by Dallas or Oakland.

After his poor NCAA NC game performance HOW is he even still considered a 1st rounder?????

No, that's usually a 1st rounder for them.... :^D

In all fairness, who on ND had a good game? He doesn't fall past 25.

I'm not saying he's going to have as good of a career, but he definately reminds me alot of Junior Seau.

I think he'll do OK. It's not like he shot himself (or anybody else) in a bar.

Manti, you got a Phone Call!!!

He's slow AND had an imaginary girlfriend. Yep, Jets. Then a sitcom on CW: "How I met your imaginary mother."

I think Te'o will slide to the 2nd round. I remember when the Seahawks dratfed Lofa Tatupu (USC) in the 2nd round, people said he was too small at 6'0" and 245 lbs!! Te'o is smaller than Tatupu a 6'1" and 241 lbs and slower!!!

No he just demonstrated a tenuous grip on reality. No biggie, dude.

True. But reality sucks. :)

They already have Burfict and Rey? Why would they waste that draft pick?

We don't need a LB... Which means Jerry will probably draft him.

February 25, 2013  09:41 PM ET

Forget the fact Teo is another Mormon nut job, no team is drafting a LB that only plays 2 downs in the first round. If Teo ran 4.6 he might have gone in round 1, now he'd be lucky to go in the second round. That Alabama game didn't help him at all either .Yikes.
