03:47 PM ET 02.25 | When Tony Parker was held out of Sunday night's game against the Phoenix Suns, it initially wasn't clear why. The San Antonio Spurs point guard was listed as having a triceps contusion, but after getting injured two games ago against the Los Angeles Clippers on Thursday, it was a wonder why he played against the Golden State Warriors the following night. Was Gregg Popovich picking on the Suns, who were blown on Friday against a Boston Celtics squad that was resting Kevin Garnett? Not so. Apparently, Parker wasn't being honest with Popovich about how much the triceps injury had affected his jump shot. "He really wasn't forthcoming," Popovich told the San Antonio Express-News. "We didn't realize it until about halfway through the (Warriors) game when he didn't shoot any (perimeter) shots. I would have sat him in that game, and that's definitely why we???re sitting him tonight."
