05:12 PM ET 02.25 | According to Ohio State athletic director Gene Smith, Big Ten officials are not actively trying to add additional schools to the conference at this point. The league recently added both Maryland and Rutgers to the fold, and Smith says their focus is making sure that transition goes smoothly. Speculation about a move to 16 teams or beyond has been going on for quite a while, but to hear Smith tell it, the Big Ten is content -- for now.

"Georgia Tech, Virginia and North Carolina have been speculated as potential Big Ten targets ever since Maryland and Rutgers decided to join the league in November."
Wow I don't see g-tech. NC would be great - I'd like to see them go for them and Kansas if expanding to 16

Two things: first, you must be a b'ball fan, second, I hope the B1G stays at 14 schools.

Let's get real. The B1G already lowered the bar with Maryland & Rutgers so they will grab at least 1 more from the ACC and wait for Notre Dame to see the light to make 16. Or they will grab 2 more from the ACC, wait for the SEC to take maybe 2 and then the ACC will look nothing like it used to. Then ND will have to make a move. When the smoke settles the new ACC will be the old Big East.

ACC made some great moves, I think they should go after ucf and then a LA or Texas team.
