06:23 PM ET 02.25 | The Indianapolis Colts released Dwight Freeney, and he is a free agent this offseason. But like Rob Ryan, he's going to be out of work for "like, 5 minutes." It's an interesting spot to be in, free agency that is, and Dwight Freeney alluded to that during an appearance on 92.3 The Fan in Cleveland. "I would definitely say very interesting. Exciting just to see the possibilities. And change could be good," Freeney said. 'After the combine I'll be sitting down with my agent, because he has been in conversations with a bunch of teams, and we'll speak about what my options are and who has high interest, who doesn't, and go from there." He could have his eyes set on a different team, though, the one he grew up admiring -- the New York Giants.

There's should be at least a half dozen teams that will take a hard look at him. He ran a 4.48 40 at the combine so he would still have good speed. At 33 years old a team should get two or three solid years from him. He'd be a good addition to any roster.
