06:33 PM ET 02.25 | The NCAA has charged former University of Miami recruiting coordinator/defensive line coach Clint Hurtt with unethical conduct following his role in the Nevin Shapiro investigation. Hurtt, now the recruiting coordinator/defensive line coach at the University of Louisville, allegedly misled information to the NCAA enforcement staff, according to reports. Shapiro claims that "he paid for Hurtt to bring large groups of Hurricanes football recruits to dinner at Miami Beach restaurant Cafe Grazie." Shapiro also claims to have "provided Hurtt with an interest-free loan of $5,000 -- one $2500 cash payment and one $2500 check."

pretty sure the NCAA is the last organization that should be charging someone with unethical conduct

Accepted Rejected! Misdirected Resurrected!
Now svt, as far as the NCAA and Miami, the adage two wrongs don't make a right apply here but what about the unconditional pass that the NCAA gave UNC?
That's three wrongs minus accountability, things don't add up and I'm gettin all itchy!

I think we can all agree Miami cheated and cheated for a long time. They even admitted it. Just because the NCAA is a bad organization shouldn't give Miami a pass.

We need to change the rules, but until we do, the schools who flaunt the rules need to be held accountable. There are too many kids out there who take pride in doing the right thing, too many schools that put proper ahead of profit. You wanna change how the game is played then by all means change it. But until you do, legal technicalities should not get in the way of doing the right thing....
