08:00 AM ET 02.26 | Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski has another dispiriting headline next to his name this offseason. [Gronkowski] underwent surgery last week for an infection in the same forearm that he broke on multiple occasions this past season, league sources told ESPN. The infection was caught early enough that Gronkowski is not expected to miss any extended time, according to those familiar with the surgery. The two-time Pro Bowler is expected to be ready for training camp. Gronkowski has had his left arm operated on three times since originally breaking it on Nov. 18 against the Indianapolis Colts. He missed five games and returned for the regular-season finale but broke the arm again on Jan. 13 in a divisional-round playoff game.

Is that why they replaced him with Ed Reed for the Oscars?

NO, according to another T&R that was so George Cloney could razz Ed. (BTW Cloney's girfriend is a former Balt Raven's cheerleader)

Gronk's timing is just all wrong with these medical mishaps.

Thanks, Mangler. I'd like to see him grow up a bit, too. The big goofy kid thing is starting to wear thin, and I'm sure The Hoodie doesn't like it much, either.

Me too - he's a joy to watch.

Just like Bavaro was... until his body just gave out on him.

At this rate Gronk will be lucky to last as long a Bavaro

P.S. As a Cowboy fan Jay Novacek > Bavaro

Yeah a little wisdom off the field would be great. He's a talented guy and I'd like to see the guy have a great career.

Me too but I'm not counting on it. I think the Knucklehead Force is strong in this one.

Gronk is made of clay too soft and weak to play in the NFL. Cut the little baby girl loose and teach Gronk how to knit. big soft wimp.

Does seem to be either unlucky or fragile.
