08:28 AM ET 02.26 | Credit Blues coach Ken Hitchcock for living up to his word. [Hitchcock made] Monday's practice all about tempo, or pushing the pace. "What we're trying to do is extend the working time," Hitchcock said. "We're trying to make guys play with proper precision while being tired, and that's the big challenge." ... Hitchcock said that Blues players aren't the only ones wearing out easily, leading to breakdowns. "If you look around the league right now, the players that didn't play (during the lockout) have hit the wall and they're struggling," he said. "We've got to punch through. You can't just rest them up and think that that's going to do it. Guys are going to have to learn to work through it."

Leafs still lookin spritely.

I know Geno did the other night. Quit hard. Hit the wall, bounced off the son-of-a-b!

As far as all of the other players... they should have kept training during the lockout instead of playing PlayStation or whatever the piss they were doing. Some were, some werent. I know it is a tighter schedule, but....

The Caps on the other hand are looking a wee bit like the Black Knight in Holy Grail. Maybe not that good.

Nazem Kadri has more points than Alex Ovechkin.

Did you EVER think that would be a true statement?

That was great game for him last night. I wonder if Rotten Ronnie and Burkie have cleaned up after having their noses rubbed in it?

I have a feeling Nazem e-mails video of goals he's involved in to Ronnie after every game, signing off with a photo of him giving the finger.

He'd be my hero if he did.

We'd build a statue of him for that reason alone.

Also, 4 straight games now where $8 million worth of defencemen signed by Burke have sat in the press box. Awesome.

Are you sure it's only 8 mil?

Grapes is probably pretty chuffed about the success as well. He was a big fan and drum beater.

Seems the real problem in Toronto was Wilson and not so much Burke.

I disagree. Burkie saw what a ****ed up mess Rotten Ronnie created and what did he do....gave him a contract extention. Obviously he cared more about his little bum buddy than the Leafs. To***to should be mad as hell four the last four years.
