Panthers interested in Mike Wallace?

01:04 PM ET 02.26 | Carolina Panthers head coach Ron Rivera hinted Tuesday that the team may be trying to sign Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Mike Wallace. Wallace will become an unrestricted free agent on March 12, and he has said he would like to remain in Pittsburgh. However, the Steelers are in a tough financial situation, and it seems unlikely that they'll be able to re-sign the wide receiver. If the Panthers sign Wallace, they'll be giving quarterback Cam Newton a great weapon on the outside. Wallace is one of the best deep threats in the NFL and would almost certainly improve the Carolina offense.
