01:25 PM ET 02.26 | The New York Jets have not met with cornerback Darrelle Revis or his agent this offseason. Revis was upset last week that the team had not contacted him, saying "I was speechless because I didn't get a phone call." Now, the team has still not contacted their star cornerback. Revis only played in two games during the 2012 season, thanks to a torn ACL. His contract runs through 2017, but it can be voided after next season. It appears that the Jets are exploring all options for Revis, which could include trading the All-Pro defensive back.

Until they have a trade finalized, he's under contract to the Jets so why would they talk to him until the new league year starts in March???

the only reason they have to call him is to tell him when to get his busted up butt into training camp... he is currently under contract.

Must be a real bummer for Darrelle to discover that he doesn't get to hold the Jets hostage this year to his never ending demands to rework his current contract.

The man's under contract 'till 2017, does he just want somebody to say hello? Poor guy will be a Jet next season or traded.

He should get himself ready for the coming season, no matter where he plays if he's lost a step it won't matter no one will call.

Yup... They have no other obligations to him. If he has a problem with that, he needs to get over it.

His trade value would likely affect whether or not his next team would take it seriously if he tried to hold out in two more seasons.

Sounds like Darrelle has a higher opinion of Darrelle than the Jets do.

At some point in time, he'll flip the "disrespect" card.

Agreed. Unless I'm wrong isn't he under contract right now? So what's the issue?

Yep... he is under contract. In fact, 2013 is the last season of his current deal. I think the issue is the fact that rumors are running rampant about the J-E-T-S considering trading Revis while he is recovering from knee surgery. It's a bad spot for Revis and his representatives... there's no way they'll get an extension on the current deal before they know for sure about the status of Revis's knee. That makes it almost impossible for Revis to hold out. I'm sure Team Revis is just as upset about that as they are his injury.
