Packers interested in Canty

01:42 PM ET 02.26 | The Green Bay Packers are interested in signing defensive end Chris Canty, who was released by the New York Giants in early February. Canty stands 6'7 and weighs in at 317 pounds, and he would be a good fit in a 3-4 defense. Should the Packers land the eight-year veteran out of Virginia, he would likely be slotted as a nickel defensive tackle. Canty was offered a contract by the Tennessee Titans, but he reportedly turned it down in favor of an offer from the Kansas City Chiefs. However, he has yet to sign with K.C., which could be good news for the Packers.

I would not mind seeing Dallas bring him back to play DT in a rotation with Hatcher and Ratliff if they could get him for decent money.
That would allow Dallas to focus on getting Oline help and a DE.

Yes, unsung hero for the Giants DL for a number of years. I hope he lands with KC, because I don't want to see him face the Giants when they play the Pack.
