Bengals wide receiver Chad Johnson continues to shower the Patriots organization with praise. Colleague Mike Reiss wrote in Thursday's edition of the Globe's Super Bowl Insider how Johnson joked to a Boston reporter, "I'm going to be playing for your team next year," before putting his hands together as if praying and looked to the heavens. We caught up with Johnson at Madden Bowl XIV Thursday night in Scottsdale, Ariz., where he continued to compliment the Patriots, paticularly coach Bill Belichick. "I'm in love with Belichick," he said.

That would be one hell of a passing attack. Brady to Moss, Johnson, Welker, Stallworth, Gaffney. Not mentioning the tight ends or faulk either

Not really endearing himself to his hometown crowd is he? But, in all truth, who WOULDN'T respect Belichick? Who WOULDN'T want to play for him? His players love him, and buy into his system like none other, and they win because of it. The team is the prototype for how to run an organization now, while the Bengals are the template for disfunction...

Johnson wants to win a SB.
Nothing more, nothing less.

This is absurd - people actually taking his comments seriously...

CJ is VERY secure in his manhood, wouldn't you agree?! :-)
but if he did get picked up by NE.....WOW! what a corps of receivers that would be.

February 1, 2008  08:43 AM ET

Moss wouldn't put up with losing receptions to this fool. TO be damned, this would self-destruct the Patriots. Nobody is that strong to resist this type of ego inflation.

we plucked one bad apple that actually turned out to be good (Corey Dillon) from Cincy, I just don't see Ocho Cinco changing his attitude like Dillon did....I really thnik Dillon just wanted to Win....I think 85 just wants attention.

February 1, 2008  09:03 AM ET

NOOOOOOO!!!!! I'd rather lose a game!
(gasp, did I just say that?)

February 1, 2008  09:06 AM ET

CJ reminds me of what TO was in Philly.
Im not sure he would "do as hes told".. like a good lil receiver

February 1, 2008  09:07 AM ET

What happened to "Bill Parcells call me"? Hahaha, this guy!

February 1, 2008  09:27 AM ET

Sorry Ocho Cinco.....you can catch, but you don't have the slighest idea of the "team" concept. So quit trying to kiss Belechick where he sits!

February 1, 2008  09:30 AM ET

He just wants out of Cincy, if I were Cincy I'd want him out. If he would play the game and keep quiet he could be a good leader. I think Housh is the #1 guy in Cincy now and CJ knows it so he wants to go stir the pot somewhere else, anywhere else, he's gone from the Dolphins to the Patriots, that's the whole spectrum of the NFL. Isn't Pittsburgh looking for a tall reciever? Just don't come to Cleveland, he's just an underacheiving distraction. I don't think Moss and CJ could co-exist. He's good but too much of a distraction.

February 1, 2008  09:40 AM ET

im a huge bengals fan and i dont want chad to go...but if it makes him happy then it'll be good for him..but the pats wont sign him because they wont want to have to pay him and they alredy have enough weapons....now if he goes somewhere like philly or tennessee that would be nice...mcnabb to cj or vince young to cj.
