06:52 PM ET 02.26 | Former LSU Tigers defensive back Tyrann Mathieu took the field for on-field drills at the 2013 NFL Scouting Combine with a lot of scouts' eyes on him and many questions about his athleticism. After the day's workouts were over, Mathieu left a number of scouts saying, "wow," with a top-notch performance at Lucas Oil Stadium. Mathieu got off to a rough start at the combine after measuring only 5-foot-9, 186-pounds and then he flopped on the bench press with only four reps. The poor bench press numbers raised more questions about Mathieu's preparation and work ethic heading into the biggest job interview of his life, but he put those questions to rest with his on-field performance. Another big knock on Mathieu was his long speed, so the 40-yard dash was going to be crucial for his evaluation. When Mathieu fired off the blocks and went sprinting down the field, he clocked in with an official 4.50 second time. It was a great time for Mathieu and set the tone for the rest of his performance.

I don't know which is least impressive, having an Adult film star nickname like the Honey Badger or being only 5' 9"?

He's a major head case, buyer beware. Anyone that signs him better make sure he gets 0 bonuses and any arrests means they can walk away without paying him an additional dime.

He had some of the best hands of DB's at the combine. His footwork was not that impressive. I think he improved his ranking from a 5th round pick to 3rd to early 4th rounds. What is really sorrowful is to watch and listen to guys like Mayock and Sanders to continue to make excuses for their favorite players, it is almost like they have the same agent as some of the players. Mayock defending Millner for every dropped, easily catchable ball, why defend one player and not every player?
The 2013 Combine will be known as the Manti Te'o Fiasco. Maybe all the players that didn't participate did the wise thing.
The NFL network needs to explain something, they declare that when they overlap players running the 40 that it can substantiate the times. Steve Williams of Cal was originally given a 4.25/40 yet it was later downgraded to 4.45 even though his second 40 was also in the 4.3's. How can their times be so far off? Or do they only like to keep favorable times for favorable players.
A couple of years ago Cal WR Michael Calvin had one of the best Pro Days, not only was his 40 faster than any combine 40's that year, but it was done outside on a wet track because it had rained the night before, the media also said that if he had been at the combine that he would have not only have had the best 40 but one of the best over all workouts.

Good question.
And I want to know why anyone is impressed with a 4.50 40-yard dash time from an undersized cornerback.
