07:48 AM ET 02.27 | All things considered, former LSU cornerback Tyrann Mathieu had a pretty good Tuesday. After running unofficial hand times of 4.43 and 4.5 in his 40-yard-dash at the scouting combine Tuesday, [Mathieu] likely finds himself held in much higher esteem by NFL general managers than he was a day earlier. But none of those personnel evaluators will probably like him anywhere near as much as Deion Sanders does. ... [Mathieu] excelled in field drills Tuesday, leading Sanders to utilize an interesting assortment of superlatives in praising him. "This guy is a straight up dog. You know what I mean by dog. Man's best friend. He's a overachiever. He's all that and a bag of chips."

The "and a bag of chips" just guarenteed that Rex Ryan will draft him.

I think Deion impresses too easily!

He sounds like he's the kids agent.

The thought of Deion as an agent?

*shudder*

I'm thinking Drew Rosenhaus, without the subtlety.

Badger is one hell of a football player but it's the other bag he likes that will scare teams off.

Bag of chips < Bucket of chicken

I'm not impressed

I've said it before, THIS is the draft to take a flyer on a guy like this if you've got a veteran team with solid leadership. This draft is not loaded with a lot of immediate impact guys and if for the fact he wasn't such a f-up over the last year, he'd had been a top 5 pick.

They babysit Dez Bryant in Dallas and I don't see why, with the new rookie salary sructure in place, someone wouldn't take this guy and sign him with a performance and conduct laden contract.

The kid can flat out play and the NFL sold it's soul to the devil years ago, so now is not the time to all high and mighty. It's a risk, but in this draft, I think i's worth it because it could turn out to be gold.

Deion Sanders is an honorary Kardashian: another brown stain on American society.

I think of Sports Agent Leon Sandcastle with a rainbow afro and a gold lame' suit.

He is the only player with more grass stains around his lips than his uniform.

Damn... that's pretty good.

Deion is always the black ambassador for troubled black kids...and I'm black saying that.

If it doesn't work out in the NFL, the Honey Badger has a bright future in pro wrestling.

Its something to be said about a playmaker though...you cant teach ball skills and open field running. Why not take a flier on the kid in round 7 or bring him in camp?

Meaning? I am just hoping we are not discussing his playing ability.....

You sound real colored, **** black ha. Why not help out kids? Troubled or not? Or we could just discard them, like that doesn't happen often enough.

Since when did NFL general managers drool over cornerbacks who run a 4.5 ?
